Revealed! the best Hungarian hotels of 2018

The best hotels of 2018 have been revealed by the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association. The titles were awarded for the fifth year in a row, with the support of the Hungarian Tourism Agency.

This year, 21 hotels competed for the title of “Best Hotel of 2018” – reports Napi. There were separate categories for hotels with three, four and five stars, and the judges took into account a number of different factors when awarding the titles. These factors include quality, market share and growth, corporate social responsibility, the training and satisfaction level of the staff, the satisfaction level of the guests, and the quality of the hotel’s operation.

In the category of 5-star hotels, Aria Hotel Budapest came in first place.

This luxury hotel in Budapest secured a number of other prestigious awards in the past, including Condé Nast Traveler‘s Reader’s Choice Award in 2018.

It is the perfect place for the lovers of music, and it has a spa section as well, offering high-level relaxation practices and letting go of daily tensions. Not to mention the fact that the view is amazing as it opens to the beautiful Saint Stephen’s Basilica.

For 4-star hotels, three categories were available. Two of the winners are located in Budapest. Bo33 Hotel Family & Suites received several certificates of excellence from TripAdvisor or Booking.com in the previous years, while Hotel Moments Budapest also offers an excellent experience with its central location on Andrássy Avenue, close to the Opera and Saint Stephen’s Basilica.

The third winner in this category is Kolping Hotel Spa & Family Resort located in the countryside, near Lake Balaton and Hévíz, making it the perfect spot for families and those coming to Hungary for the thermal baths.

When it comes to 3-star hotels, Casati Budapest Hotel snatched the winning title of the category. This hotel was awarded the title of Best Hotel in 2015 as well, and it was also featured on lists by The Guardian about the best budget hotels in Budapest, or by The Telegraph when writing about the best boutique hotels in Budapest.
